You Voted and Prayed- PLEASE Don't Stop Now!

As of 12 noon tomorrow, the 2022 session of the legislature will begin with a Republican majority in the House of Delegates, and by Saturday the 15th, Governor-Elect Youngkin, Lieutenant Governor-Elect Sears, and Attorney General-Elect Miyares will be sworn in - you can see the inauguration seating from my Richmond office window!

How did we turn from being a distinctly blue state to having all three statewide offices held by Republicans and the House of Delegates switching to a narrow Republican majority?

There are many things that contributed to this shift.

I'll put answered prayer at the very top of the list.

The destructive policies forced on Virginians under one-party Democrat rule were brought to light and starkly contrasted the Republicans' focus on kitchen table issues. Voters came out in record numbers and, for now anyway, Virginia is red again. Thank God for answered prayer.

Once again, thank you to those who supported my re-election. Count on me to be solidly committed to uphold my oath to the Constitutions of Virginia and the United States.

I have numerous pieces of legislation drafted. For example, legislation to repeal the most egregious laws passed recently which compromise the integrity of our elections. I will seek to protect the unborn, our right to gun ownership, to oppose the massive overreach under the cover of Emergency powers, to put parents in charge of whether or not they want kids exposed to sexually explicit material in course material and school libraries, and to ban teaching of tenets of Critical Race Theory in K-12 grades.

Last, but not least, I am fully committed to standing with my friends, neighbors, and constituents who exercise the choice to not be part of the medical experiment commonly referred to as the COVID "vaccine."

Our Virginia Constitution explicitly prohibits punishing people for acting "...according to the dictates of conscience"

Likewise, it is unlawful in Virginia to discriminate based on one's religion. The Virginia Human Rights Act states "It is the policy of the Commonwealth to: 1. Safeguard all individuals within the Commonwealth from unlawful discrimination because of race, color, religion..." Yet people are being fired, coerced, bullied, and punished for asserting a religious exemption and declining to be part of the medical experiment commonly referred to as the COVID "vaccine."

I am amazed at the deliberate propaganda campaign pushed by local, state, federal governments, the media, etc.. Recently members of the Supreme Court made it clear they would spout absurd claims to promote the hype and fear. Links in this article go to some of the most highly credentialed medical experts speaking out against the propaganda. More good information here.

Throughout their campaigns, Governor-Elect Youngkin, Lieutenant Governor-Elect Sears, and Attorney General-Elect Miyares promised to oppose mandatory vaccination and vaccine passports. These positions undoubtedly played a role in their historic, come-from-behind victories.

Unvaccinated employees, nurses, law enforcement, teachers, doctors, truck drivers, students, and many others who just want to live their lives (many of them fight valiantly for the people of Virginia) are being cast aside. Their requests and petitions to be treated fairly in the workplace have fallen on mostly deaf ears.

Please consider signing the petition asking Governor Youngkin and Attorney General Miyares to take immediate action protecting medical and religious freedom!  We have over 1500 signatures and need many more. We will guard the information you share with us and only communicate with you on this issue.

Governor DeSantis in Florida and Governor Abbott in Texas are taking action on behalf of their constituents. Let’s hope our newly elected team in Virginia will do likewise.

We will be cutting off all financial contributions during session starting at 12 noon tomorrow.

If you would like to help us help these people who are being persecuted for exercising their God-given rights, just add a note to your contribution saying "I support medical freedom."

Thanks again for the honor of serving you. Please keep my family and me in your prayers.

Sincerely,

PS. My youngest daughter Abby and a wonderful young man, Ben, have found each other and decided to spend the rest of their lives together. That probably means Abby won't be knocking at your door asking you to support her dad in a future election. Life goes on. I am a very blessed man.
