The Candidate of the “Everybody” Party

Dear Friends,

Thank you

First, thank you to my wife and best friend, Joanne, who has sacrificed so much to be at my side for this decade-long journey of public service.

Second, thank you to my faithful ally and assistant, Daniel Davies. Daniel is dedicated to the hard work of helping others solve problems, from minutia to the big injustices that plague us.

Thank you to those who have entrusted me with this enormous honor and responsibility as their Delegate and those would have allowed me to be their senator and to those who have prayed tirelessly, shared time or treasure so generously. My only regret is uncertainty that comes with not being sure these wonderful people will be well represented in their state government at a time when we all crave stability, integrity, and leadership.

Lastly, thank you to those who live within the immediate reach of the French kingdom and still chose to make what I’ll call a well-reasoned obvious decision in favor of my true conservative representation.

Reflection

Coming up short in a fair and truthful contest would be so much easier. Instead, we had a corrupted process leading to an outcome which deprives many true Republicans of representation by a person of their own choosing.

It was clear to me an 8-way race would be a challenge and that the vote split between candidates and regions would play heavily into the outcome. That played out and more.

We deserve the government we elect. Cheating assures we will get less than we deserve.

Election Day

I was excited by the amazing show of support in the morning on Election Day and into the early afternoon. In six elections, I have never experienced voter after voter telling me in clear, sometimes quiet spoken words, that they were LaRock voters. Then, mid-afternoon on Election Day, the Democrats showed up in significant numbers along with the anti-Republicans who’ve named themselves Frederick First (FF). The FF anti-Republicans functioned openly with Team Timmy, sporting FF shirts, restocking Timmy handouts, manning polls and lying to voters about me. At that point, our best hope was to encourage true Republicans to show up in numbers great enough to overpower Timmy and his allies the cheaters.

The Everybody Party

Timmy French, the “I’m not a politician” candidate, quickly became the consummate win-at-any-cost politician. He openly and unapologetically invited Democrats to vote for him, and they did. Yes, it surprised me and others seeing the guy seeking the Republican nomination, Timmy French, taking the low road, actively and openly inviting “everyone”, including far-left Democrats, into his big tent. Fortunately for Timmy, some people will turn a blind eye and justify the means for a win. Seeing it on Election Day with my own eyes makes it hard to ignore.

The Open Primary

When a Democrat votes in our Republican Primary, in my humble opinion, it is legal theft as it offsets the vote of a true Republican. It is the flaw of an open primary which allows non-Republicans to offset true Republicans’ votes and in doing so,deprives them of fair representation. We have evidence that this is exactly what happened yesterday and in early voting. It is worth noting that two of the same party chairmen who voted for the open primary were silent on the cheating and endorsed the cheater.

Looking to November and Beyond

I personally will not forget that when Timmy has that coveted (R) next to his name this November, he violated at least a few foundational rules to get it. After Timmy comes down from the victory high and realizes the weight and responsibility of the job, I expect he will look forward to getting back to farming in four years. But that’s just my speculation.

What the people who supported me gave, the Democrats can never take away. Being targeted by the dark side (and some to their right) comes with being a staunch conservative. I have no regrets.

My advice to Timmy French; Micah 6:8 “Do justice, love mercy and walk humbly before God.”

Thanks again for the honor of serving you. I will continue to serve the people of the 33rd House District as their elected representative for the next 6+ months, through January 9th, 2024. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you.

Sincerely,

P.S. If you have a "LaRock for Senate" yard sign, please do not throw it away. Stay tuned for further instructions.
