Dear Friends,
Senator Richard Black, Purcellville Mayor Kwasi Fraser and I invite you to a “Western Loudoun Transportation Town Hall Meeting.” The event will take place at the Carver Center in Purcellville, with the formal presentation and discussion 6:30- 8:30pm.

The meeting's primary emphasis will be on planned improvements to Rt. 7, Rt. 9, Rt. 287 and Rt. 7-Business that impact the daily commutes of Western Loudoun residents, particularly those in the Towns of Purcellville, Round Hill and Hamilton.

I hear from others, and know from my own experience, that driving on our local roads can be frustrating if things don’t work as they should.
Meeting with the public in this transportation townhall, and others in the future, will help identify and address needs ranging from a pothole that needs attention today to interchanges that are needed for tomorrow. I hope local residents will agree and will come out to be part of this event.

More information about transportation projects in the 33rd District is available on my website here.
For those in the Western end of the 33rd District, I also have an I-81 information page on my website here. Among the funding options being considered are various methods of tolls, as well as increased taxes on fuel, hotels, commercial and industrial properties, and sales taxes. I would like to know your thoughts on these funding mechanisms. I've posted a short survey you can access here.
