Gov. Northam Needs to Hear From You - Back Off on New Taxes and Laws that Will Crush the Economy

Dear Friends,

As of this morning, Virginia's COVID-19 statistics are 35,459 people tested, 4,509 cases, 772 hospitalizations, and 121 deaths. Those stats are tragic, and represent many lives changed and lost, but there are even bigger numbers to be concerned about.

While both curves seem to be leveling off, the jobs curve is going to be very difficult to recover from. Virginia's government MUST do everything possible to limit taxes, regulations, and unfunded mandates that would slow economic recovery.

 

CONTACT THE GOVERNOR

Last week, I sent a letter to Governor Northam asking him to amend the budget and other bills which add costs and regulatory burden to businesses and residents.

The letter made these recommendations:

1. Reduce essential spending across the board and tie all non-essential spending to revenue benchmarks.
2. Require 2021 re-enactment of ALL legislation which adds to cost of living or doing business in Virginia, and ALL unfunded mandates to local governments.

The Governor's deadline to act on all the legislation on his desk (over 500 bills, including the budget) is tomorrow evening, April 11, at 11:59pm. Please act now to....
