DAVE LAROCK MEETS WITH LOCAL BUSINESS LEADERS, WINS REGIONAL CHAMBER STRAW POLL
Hamilton, VA – Dave LaRock met this week with about 75 local business leaders at the Purcellville Business Association’s monthly meeting. As a small businessman in Loudoun County himself, Dave found many long-time and new friends and supporters at the meeting. Dave also appreciated the presentation by Bob Brown on how knowledge, service, and salesmanship help businesses compete successfully.
Friday evening, LaRock attended the Hob Nob in the Valley, sponsored by the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber. The annual event is a premier opportunity for business and community leaders to meet the candidates, and serves as an unofficial kick-off to the fall campaign in the Shenandoah Valley. One feature of the event is the Straw Poll, which Dave LaRock won by a twenty-point margin, 58%-38% over Democrat opponent Mary Daniel.
LaRock responded to the poll results, saying,
“It’s great to see such a strong show of support from the business community here in the Valley. As I’ve talked to residents of Clarke and Frederick Counties over the last several months, the main concern they have is our economy. I promise to put my business experience to work cutting wasteful spending, lowering taxes and reducing regulation, allowing our economy and jobs to grow.”
