Tomorrow afternoon, I will have the honor of speaking at the Liberty Farm Festival in Paris, VA. Governor Mike Pence and lots of other amazing people will be there too!
I hope to see you there, but in case you can't make it, I've decided to give you a sneak peek at something I've been thinking about and working on, and what I'll be talking about in my speech tomorrow....

I’m very happy to celebrate the first annual Liberty Farm Festival with Martha Boneta. Whoever sized Martha up and decided to mess with her property rights sure got more than they bargained for.
Martha and her battle to protect her freedom to farm encourages liberty-loving conservatives as we are reminded that the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
Ronald Regan spoke these words, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”
When Martha needed support, her friends stood with her and I was glad to be counted among them.
I am here to ask for your help today. I want you to stand with me to protect the life and liberty of a group of people who are too young and helpless to ask you for help themselves, they are the unborn.
It is not easy to talk about the treatment almost fully formed babies are subjected to.
But I’m very glad that as a result of the discussion that is going on about how these little ones are mistreated, hearts are being changed.
In fact, the majority of the public agrees this is wrong.
14 states and the US House of Representatives have taken the step of passing versions of the 20 week Pain-capable Unborn Child Protection Act because it is the right thing to do.
I said I need your help, and here’s how we can make this happen in Virginia.
In the 2015 session, 30 members of the House looked at this bill and said yes, it is the right thing to do. They signed on to co-patron the 20 week Pain-capable Unborn Child Protection Act …and it was blocked in a Republican controlled committee.
In the 2016 session, one half of the Republican members of the Senate signed on as co-patrons to the bill. …and it was blocked in a Republican controlled committee.
Too often we blame Democrats for trampling God-given rights, but who will lift a finger to protect those rights?
So what is missing? …it is time for the people of Virginia to let their voice be heard by saying we must stop the torture of little human beings.
How?
I’m asking you to stand against the horrible and inhumane treatment of almost fully formed babies by signing up to be Citizen Co-patrons of the 20 week Pain-capable Unborn Child Protection Act.
This is not a huge commitment, just give me 10 minutes of your time and send a message to a few legislators who are blocking this effort to protect the life and liberty of fellow human beings.
It was an honor to meet Congressman Trent Franks recently. He is a pro-life advocate in Congress, and he put it very simply saying that without life there can be no liberty.
It is just too easy for a few legislators to quietly terminate this effort.
If 1000 people give 10 minutes, we can pass the 20 week Pain-capable Unborn Child Protection Act.
If a child was experiencing pain and we could help, wouldn’t we?
No compassionate person would allow their child to be subjected to this horrible treatment.
Unborn babies cannot talk or scream, but if they could, they would beg for us to show compassion.
Let’s share their need.
